'CH.E.A.P.' Energy Rate Program Announced For Alberta Charities

CALGARY, Alberta - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- A new energy program has been announced that will aggregate the energy usage of Alberta-based charitable and non-profit organizations and offer a group rate on electricity and natural gas to facilities under their control.

This energy aggregation deal (the first of its kind in Alberta) will allow Sponsor Energy Inc. (http://www.sponsorenergy.com/) and AltaGas Ltd. (http://altagas.ca/) to offer better pricing to charitable organizations in Alberta by being part of a larger volume group purchase.  The intention is to capitalize on the aggregate electricity and natural gas volume in order to offer efficiency and consequently lower pricing for registered charitable and non-profit organizations.

On top of an attractive group rate for electricity and natural gas, the charities further benefit from a 50/50 split on Sponsor Energy’s margin on the retail fee on every  kWh of electricity or GJ of natural gas consumed by the participating organization.
