Artistic partners Tracey Baker and Paul Spencer have an exciting launch programme to whet your appetites: live Sssh! Thursday night ‘happenings’
“The idea is to collaborate with the incredible local creative talent around us,” says Tracey. “After all the talk of floods, we aim to put the beautiful Somerset Levels back on a positive media map. Our programme is designed to attract both locals and weekend visitors from further afield.”
It’s easy to see why Tracey is so upbeat. Langport is not only the launch pad from which politicians and royals took the boat to deluged Muchelney this winter, it’s also an extraordinary creative hub. The recently-opened artisan bakery, Kitchen and art gallery For Every Cloud are just two of the local businesses collaborating with Studio Farrows.
“This is just the start,” says Tracey. “There are lots of artists and artisans here who can share their talent at Studio Farrows. We are also intending to partner with local businesses, using our digital presence to communicate the amazing wealth of brilliant enterprises for people to come and enjoy in this recently-maligned yet extremely special part of England.”
