SEMDA Annual Medical Device Conference Attracts Nationally Recognized Speakers from FDA and AdvaMed

ATLANTA - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- –The 8th Annual SEMDA Conference, entitled “Thriving During Healthcare Reform,” will feature an industry update by Jeffrey Shuren MD, JD, Director of the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).  During his presentation, Dr. Shuren will discuss recent agency programs and their impact on the medical device industry.

In addition, Stephen J. Ubl, President and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), will provide a Washington-focused legislative and policy update on crucial issues facing the medical device industry and the ongoing efforts to address them.  Topics include repeal of the medical device tax, implementation of the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, an overview of AdvaMed's priorities, and a discussion of the health reform landscape.
