Denver - SpaceUnited, a nonprofit humanitarian space agency, will mark Yuri’s Night with two events in Colorado this week. Yuri’s Night is a celebration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to journey into outer space on April 12th, 1961.

The first event will be “Yuri’s Trivia Night”at Govnr’s Park Tavern in Denver, Colorado. SpaceUnited will be helping with the free trivia competition and as well as holding a silent auction to raise funds for saving lives with space tech. Auction items will include 2 VIP Tickets To Cinco De Drinko Pub Crawl By Play Hard Productions, a gift certificate to Ocean Prime restaurant, a gift certificate to Players Men’s Wear, a gift certificate to Fast Frame, a 10 Person Happy Hour Party at Govrnr’s Park, and MORE! Plus, the team who wins the “SpaceUnited” space-themed trivia round will win 2 Uwingu Mars crater naming certificates and 2 tickets to a show at Comedy Works!

Secondly, Adam Brinckerhoff, one of SpaceUnited’s talented directors, will be giving a talk at 6:15 PM MT on Thursday, April 10th at the Engineering Center on the University of Colorado Boulder campus. His talk will be preceded by a speech on the history of human spaceflight by former NASA astronaut and current CU Boulder professor Jim Voss. No admission will be charged and a free pizza dinner will be served! The celebration will continue at The Attic, where student band Carl And The Cosmos will take the stage at 10 PM MT.  They will be followed by local favorite “The Goonies.”
