CHAMPS Software Meets Special Requirements for Nuclear Power Plant Construction

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- CHAMPS Software, Inc., a leading provider of Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions for over three decades, announces a successful software customization at a major nuclear power utility located in the Southeast.  To meet federal requirements in full support of ITAAC (inspections, tests, analyses, and acceptance criteria) for the customer’s nuclear reactor construction projects, CHAMPS customized their applications to meet these functionality needs now and for future use.  With the customization, all ITAAC issues are tracked and managed within the system to meet federal regulations during the construction phase of the nuclear reactors and in preparation for start-up.  CHAMPS solutions include condition reporting, maintenance, equipment management, lockout/tagout (LOTO) and work control management of personnel.

For over 30 years, the CHAMPS CMMS/EAM solution has been used for work control, safety, permits, materials management and project tracking at the customer’s existing nuclear reactor site.  This system continues to provide condition reporting and work flow management today with plans to migrate to a new generation CHAMPS system in the near future.  Once the new reactors are completed, the nuclear utility will leverage CHAMPS on the new platform for all reactor maintenance and materials management.
