PICKENS, S.C. - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Santa Claus has always appreciated beauty. He especially loves flowers. So naturally he is excited to participate in the upcoming Azalea Festival in Pickens, South Carolina. Actually Santa is none other than the author Joe Moore, of the increasingly popular series called the Santa Claus Trilogy. He will be making an appearance at the Pickens Azalea Festival on Saturday, April 19th.

Moore has written and published the trilogy with the third having been just released this year. He not only writes about Santa Claus and his village, but he spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over the Southeast in his custom made suits. Moore is an expert in all things Santa Claus and does interviews as Santa discussing events in the North Pole, reindeer and elves and hot Christmas toys for kids.

This marks the 30th year for the Azalea Festival, which will feature everything from a classic car cruise on Friday the 18th to a baking competition and even amusement rides (for a nominal charge) on Saturday. This along with a variety of arts and crafts from around the Southeast, entertainment all weekend, foods from the local eateries and civic nonprofit organizations is available. The event is sponsored in part by WSPA Channel 7 and WYCW-TV and expects approximately 20,000 attendees.

Moore will be at Booth 115, between Wolf Creations and Jewelry by Erline, to sell and autograph his books which consist of the following three novels:

Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles begins the trilogy by showing how the elves and the North Pole came into being. It actually takes place from the late 18th century and proceeds through the generations and centuries until modern time. It shows how the elves chose Santa Claus and how the various legends came to exist.

Faith, Hope & Reindeer is a present day snapshot of a week in the North Pole where several families that are struggling to do good have lost their faith and hope from the problems of their lives. They receive an all-expense paid vacation but they don't know their final destination. They end up in the North Pole where Santa and the village restore their faith and hope and they learn that miracles still exist. This book is currently being planned as a major motion picture scheduled for Christmas, 2015

The third book changes everything, says Moore, Santa's North pole is melting and he and all the residents of their North Pole Village have to find a new home and escape before the village crashes into the Arctic Ocean. He promises that Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke will change the Santa Claus legend for all time.
