APL is one of the leading footwear manufacturer in Northern India with supplies across the country. In the last 05 years the company has seen an exponential growth in their revenue and are expecting the trend to continue for the next few years. They already have plans to double the manufacturing capacity in th enext 2 years.
With the growth in sales and production, the management is faced with the following problems:
A. Material and Production Planning : With the complexity in color, design and size th emould planning becomes an extremely intricate and complex procedure thus leading to either understocking of FG or overstocking of FG or idle time of machines.
B. Sales order management
C. Stock visibility across the plant
After discussions and due diligence with the management, it has been decided to customize and implement "enterprise trackor" in their company so that material and mould planning can take place as per the orders in hand.
The solution, once deployed shall help them in overcoming their concerns and give the management a better control on the planning and execution.
The solution is expected to go live by October 2014.
