NORR11 ANNOUNCES THE EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION OF VERNER PANTON RELAXER ONE CHAIR

In collaboration with the Verner Panton estate, Danish design brand NORR11 exclusively re-releases one of Panton’s seating objects for Europe, “The Relaxer Rocking Chair”.

The Relaxer One Chair (VP011) is initially designed in 1974 by Verner Panton. In its design Panton has accentuated the art of seating, with a chair which is ergonomically fitted to any body size and posture. The Panton Relaxer chair rapidly became a highly collectible object for vintage design

aficionados and collectors. From poolside relaxation and bar lounging, to a most suitable addition to any living room, the Relaxer is already re-claiming its past state as one of the most interesting icons of Verner Panton’s design universe.

Being most functional and affordable, the chair represents the basic credo of the Classics of design furniture. “The Relaxer is a perfect addition to our existing portfolio”, says Rune Krøjgaard, Head of Design. “Young designs and reinterpretations of the Classics of the last century have always been our main focus. Now we are able to provide a complete picture, combining the old with the new design for generations”. The Relaxer chair is easily moved, washable covers are attached with Velcro straps.

Each chair is uniquely numbered with a placard for its authentic, original licensed design.

By implementing the Verner Panton Relaxer Chair into the portfolio NORR11 takes another big step towards the established design furniture market, according to Lasse Nørbaek, NORR11 General Manager. “We are both proud and confident; it is another milestone for our company and again a proof of our concept – to make the most sophisticated design furniture accessible to everyone.”
