In Spite of It All Magazine: Inspiration with an Impact!

COLUMBIA, S.C. - April 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Any typical inspirational magazine provides its readers with the ‘feel good’ factor needed to temporarily provide a mental boost.  What if these magazines took inspiration beyond the pages? One such magazine striving to extend its reach beyond the pages is ‘In Spite of It All’ Magazine. The editor-in-chief, Gilda Morana, explains what she is trying to accomplish with this new publication.

"The idea for ‘In Spite of It All’ Magazine was born of my own personal spiritual journey.  While traversing personal trials, I realized I was experiencing everyday life.  I began to rely more on God than trusting my situation.  Over time my suffering was not lonely and I knew that I was not suffering alone.  God had always been present with me and increased my consciousness of other women and their struggles.  He helped me rebuild, often through relationships with other women.  It all had a purpose."

According to Ms. Morana, ‘In Spite of It All’ Magazine is about releasing fears, insecurities, and apprehensions.  Her vision for ‘In Spite of It All’ Magazine is to motivate women to have an intimate relationship with and deep love for God; inspire women to seek insight from God’s word; inform women about the common threads (in Christ) binding all our experiences; and embrace the passionate inspirations, sobering musings, and creative expressions inspired by God.

When asked how ‘In Spite of It All’ is different from other inspirational magazines Ms. Morana replied, “In Spite of It All is different because we are collaborating with organizations in the community to bless those experiencing personal struggles – people who need a boost in both a spiritual and a physical sense.  Initially, we have decided to share a portion of proceeds with select partners.  As we grow, our hope is to increase our partnerships and provide magazines through that network.  I think it’s a pretty neat concept. To enlist the support needed to launch the magazine, Ms. Morana created a campaign on Indiegogo, a crowd funding website that helps individuals bring their visions to life. Ms. Morana explains why she chose to use this particular platform for ‘In Spite of It All’ Magazine:

"To help get the support we are going to need to launch this magazine, we have created a campaign on Indiegogo.  It is important for us to share a well developed concept to potentially loyal customers. The online campaign gives us wings to market and develop the magazine while getting to know our readers.  Not to mention, we still have many unmet financial needs that influence magazine production.  Indiegogo is a wonderful way to pre-sell magazines to supporters who believe in what God is doing through us.  Besides, its free!"
