Newburgh, IN - April 08, 2014 – The concept of Limitless Mud, a traveling mud obstacle course with a focus on combating childhood obesity is inspired by military veteran and family man, Nolan Montgomery’s own life. This organization will host several events across the U.S that are very similar to ‘Spartan race’ or ‘Tough Mudder’. Solely dedicated to kids and teenagers, it will focus on helping them become more active and teach them to enjoy the outdoors.

Nolan Montgomery is no stranger to the dangers of childhood obesity. As an overweight kid who struggled with sports and being active, he was teased relentlessly and spent endless days sitting inside and playing videogames. However, his supportive family came to his rescue and made sure his life revolved around being outdoors. He became active, lost some weight, became fit, and started participating in sports.
However, a 9-5 desk job after high school saw him fall back into old patterns. Pushing 250lbs, and knowing that his inactivity would kill him, he joined the Military. Post his term of service, he took up running, biking, and other activities to make sure he remained in the best shape of his life. Eventually, he fell in love with the challenge and the exhilaration of mud obstacle races only to discover that there was nothing like this in place for his kids who begged to go on these races with him. This is when Nolan hit upon the idea of starting something for his own kids and the idea of Limitless Mud was born.
This military veteran who is using his experience to accomplish his mission of serving his community with the help of his wife and children said, “My kids always begged to go on these mud obstacles race with me, but there was nothing like this for them. Sometimes, they would have a little race, but nothing that they enjoyed. After this, I decided to start something for them. Now, I want to take this on the road and teach other kids the thrill of being outdoors and active!”
Nolan is seeking support for his organization by launching a fundraising campaign on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. For more information, visit http://www.kickstartlimitlessmud.com/
