With over 35,000 requests for assistance from the public every year, Western Placer County fire departments and districts are busier than ever, serving one of the fastest growing regions in California. However, like most fire agencies across the nation, Placer County has been recently challenged with budget cuts and limited resources.
“We had to take a careful look into all of our partnerships and processes to determine how to provide the best possible service given the significant budget reductions. With LiveMUM, we saw an opportunity to maximize operational cost efficiencies and improve overall coverage.” South Placer Fire District Chief Lawrence Bettencourt
Deccan International will equip the Placer County region with a dynamic deployment software solution that uses real-time and historical data to track apparatus and personnel and help dispatchers efficiently allocate resources and minimize delays in emergency response.
LiveMUM will interact with Think Stream to coordinate Western Placer County ‘s five Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to determine when and where temporary asset relocations (i.e. move-ups)
Currently, LiveMUM is being successfully used at Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin City Fire Department, Alameda County and City fire departments, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, Seattle Fire Department, and over sixty other cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
