1st Annual St Louis World’s Fare Heritage Festival & Games happening in Forest Park September 12-14

ST. LOUIS - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- The St Louis World’s Fare Board of Directors, in collaboration with the City of St Louis, STL250, and the St Louis Parks Department are honored to present The St. Louis World’s Fare.  This free event will be held annually in September at Forest Park.

All are welcome to experience this unique celebration of St Louis history, present, and future as the magical energy of the 1904 World’s Fair is rekindled.  Please join us at this historical event as we celebrate the 110th anniversary of the World’s Fair and Olympics held in St Louis in 1904, and the 250th Birthday of the City Of Saint Louis.  This all “Green” event will take attendees on a journey from 1904 historic exhibits, educational displays and reenactments, to live musical performances of current National and local recording artists and a look into future technologies and innovations of regional and national businesses. See, hear, savor, and feel what made this city great, what makes this city great today, and what will make this city more magnificent in the future through education, entertainment, art, and cultural exchanges.

The St. Louis World’s Fare mission is to be an annual event that will bring together peoples of the region, showcasing the finest elements of international dance, art, music and food found in St. Louis while supporting local schools and charitable organizations. This special event is also designed to help bridge St. Louis County with the St. Louis City, uniting the region into one community with one history & one Strong future. Forest Park will be the centerpiece of a three-day celebration featuring events and competitions that embrace the heritage of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair while highlighting the vibrant and diverse culture of the St. Louis Region today.
