DELHI/NCR, India - April 7, 2014 - PRLog -- Gurgaon, March 7, 2014: Strengthening its longstanding commitment to address the needs of the underprivileged people of the society, DLF Foundation, the philanthropic arm of DLF Limited has launched an economical diagnostic facility on the occasion of World Health Day to emphasise the need of proper healthcare and to ensure effective health services at a very low cost. The initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Ritesh Sinha, DGM, DLF Ltd under the foundation’s umbrella project- Cluster village development at Hassanpur, Gurgaon. A mega super speciality health camp was also organized in the village to commemorate the occasion.

The objective behind the initiative is to provide cost-effective and easily-accessible diagnostic services to the community by integrating it along with the PHC (Primary Healthcare Centre) project of DLF Foundation. DLF Foundation PHC with Swasthgram Diagnostic Kits will be able to conduct more than 24 diagnostic tests like Glucose, Hb, Lipid profile, Kidney functioning, liver test, Electrolytes and ECG.  A well-trained lab technician will be provided at every PHC with the diagnostic kit to get accurate test results.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Ritesh Sinha, DGM, DLF Ltd said, “On this World Health Day, we are taking one more step to enhance the healthcare quotient by creating a diagnostic facility with each of our Primary Health Centres to focus more on preventive health care and disease management. We are introducing an innovative “lab in a suitcase” model in these villages which can conduct significant number of medical tests. This will be a landmark in taking forward our mission on preventive healthcare. We at DLF Foundation are deeply committed to the needs of the primary healthcare centres especially in rural areas where people are deprived of even basic health care facilities. We plan to expand this initiative in other villages of Haryana and Punjab so that citizens living in rural areas get access to adequate healthcare provisions.”

This initiative aims at indicating primary stage of diseases among the people in the community so that good health at appropriate cost can be provided. Thus, this medically- inclined effort will take DLF Foundation a step closer to reach its goal of achieving a healthy community and an improved lifestyle in these villages.
