Canine Kindergarten Introduces Play and Train Services

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - April 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Canine Kindergarten, a dog daycare and boarding facility, is introducing “Play and Train,” a service to benefit busy dog owners by training their dogs during the day while they are in daycare.  Canine Kindergarten makes training easier for dog owners by providing training for specific issues, all tailored to the individual dog. Holly Santana, the skilled trainer for Canine Kindergarten, can work on many different issues while owners are at work and away from their dogs. Play and Train will start or improve upon a dog’s training by emphasizing manners and commands.

Play and Train can address many issues, all customized to the dog’s needs.  “Basic Commands” will teach the dog Sit, Down, Watch, Stay, Drop, Leave it, Come and more. It’s great for a new puppy or rescue, or any dog who needs a refresher. “Walking Skills” will address pulling, jumping and inattention on the leash. Commands taught will include Easy, Watch, Heel and Wait. “Polite Greetings” will teach dogs to meet people without jumping or undesirable behaviors. “Self-Control” will provide exciting situations for the dog to learn and practice impulse control. Dogs will be taught to Settle on command.  And Canine Kindergarten even addresses “Leash Reactivity” for dogs who bark, lunge or misbehave around other dogs, people, or stimuli.

This is a unique service to Westchester County. All techniques used are based on positive reinforcement techniques.  Play and Train provides convenience and a learning environment for dogs and dog owners in the Westchester area.
