Sam’s previous experience was predominantly within the education and housing sectors where he was responsible for a mixture of building surveying duties including modular construction projects, feasibility reports and refurbishments. He is used to working to BREEAM’s strict requirements.
In addition to his demanding day job and studies, being the enterprising person that he is, the local lad and his fiancée have also started up their own fudge company to raise funds for their forthcoming wedding next year (http://www.samsfudge.com)
Sam said: “Fortunately my fiancée Lauren has taken over at the helm in our fudge business, leaving me time to study for my APC and to sail my Fireball dinghy at national level.
He added: “One of my former colleagues joined the Bennington Green team and it wasn’t long before I was also keen to join him: With the wealth of work that Bennington Green have coming in, it’s already proving to be a very rewarding working environment.”
Nigel Soloman, Managing Director of Bennington Green said: “Bennington Green have started the year on a fantastic footing and with the addition of Sam to the team we have a good core of building surveyors in the company.
“However, we are winning so much quality work that we are also now looking for a quantity surveyor.” He added.
When Sam’s not doing any of the above, he also finds time to enjoy cycling and walking.

Bennington Green was established in 1992 by Damon Green.
In August 2005, the company was acquired by Nigel Soloman, a Chartered Engineer, and Keith Kirkwood, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Bennington Green Ltd was created.
In 2012 Bennington Green acquired the practice of Richard Neale Associates and both Richard and Damon continue to provide consultancy services to the business - and remain leading Chartered Building Surveyors in their fields.
The business now has a new dynamic approach which has helped them through the recession. Despite the economic climate, Bennington Green continues to grow with new services continually being developed to reflect the changes in the marketplace.
A focused programme of expansion and growth has been implemented with a vision of building a multi-disciplined professional practice offering not only the full range of building surveying services as identified by RICS but also a broad range of project management, commercial management, dispute resolution and interim management services to a wide and varied range of clients in both the public and private sectors, in the UK and overseas.
