Jordan Wexler, CEO and Founder of FindingFood.com joined Terri Murphy on this week’s BOCI Radio to talk about how he has a new way to not only find a new restaurant, but your favorite dishes.

Mr. Wexler shared the story behind how he developed this new community, www.FindingFood.com  and his new restaurant review app that focuses on the dish rather than the restaurant as a whole. He says, “I love to eat…I love food, we all love food!  “It would annoy me when someone would say ‘Have you tried this restaurant? It’s brand new or it’s celebrity owned’ or whatever it is… ‘it’s a great restaurant.’

Wexler lamented that when he would go to that restaurant based on the recommendation, unless he ordered the exact dish they did, he may have a terrible eating experience due to the fact that many restaurants showcase a signature dish and add the others to meet various consumer demands.  He went on to say, “The whole point is, both for the restaurant and the consumer, I wanted to find a more effective way to get accurate feedback, so I created FindingFood.com, a site that focuses on the dish and not just the entire restaurant.”

FindingFood.com is changing the game not only by being specifically entrée focused but also by integrating implied endorsement through a social aspect. This user friendly, desktop and mobile app allows you to connect with your friends and neighbors who you already know and trust to share your experiences.

In addition to your friends and neighbors, Wexler says you can also follow top reviewers and those who review certain types of food regularly.  Items on the site provide for information and recipes for a spectrum of palettes, including specialties like Gluten Free diets, authentic ethnic recipes and recommendations, as well as specific recipes for desserts.

Wexler states that all the dish reviews are right at your fingertips complete with photos.  The site is designed for users to simply enter their location and see reviews. Additionally, the FindingFood portal provides recipes and reviews of those dishes made at home by community members.
