CHEF MIA CHIARELLA (Executive Chef, Gia Ristoranté), will be featured on a new television series "Kitchen Casino" premiering on The Food Network on Monday, April 7th! Mia’s episode airs April 21st @ 9|8c! Mia who was recently named ACWEEKLYS TOP 40 UNDER 40 is a native of Wildwood, New Jersey and born into a family of restaurateurs. At the age of 11 she lost her only sibling and best friend, Gia, over the Christmas holidays. She and her parents pulled together and began healing through their work in Gia’s name. Mia is the co-founder of her charity "A Gift From Gia", whom was born the year after her sister passed. The foundation gathers gift donations for patients in Cooper University P.I.C.U., where Gia passed. Last holiday season, Mia, with the help of many volunteers, delivered almost 2,000 gifts. She is also a hard worker in the family business and, after enrolling and excelling in culinary school, has adapted quickly to running a kitchen. Seven years after taking over operations when her father became ill, Mia is Gia Restaurant’s executive chef and has helped the establishment earn a 5-star rating as a trendy high-end hot spot. Between working long hours in the restaurant, Mia is also a fitness and nutrition trainer and writes a blog for local newspapers to help inspire others.
