PRLog - April 3, 2014 - AUSTIN, Texas -- Padgett Stratemann & Co. (PS&Co.)
PS&Co supports Austin/San Antonio area non-profits
Since launching the program in the fall of 2010, Padgett Stratemann has given nearly 170 laptops to more than 95 Texas-based non-profits. These computers enable the organizations to modernize their information technology capabilities, a need that is often unfulfilled due to budget constraints. Helping organizations that devote their time to helping others has always been a mission of PS&Co., and donating gently used computers to those who need them most supports that focus.
“We aspire to help every charitable non-profit establishment that we can in the Austin and San Antonio region so they, in turn, can provide enhanced service to their communities,”
Starting April 7, Padgett Stratemann will accept submissions from non-profits that can put up to three laptops to good use in their efforts to aid their community. Organizations desiring to participate in the program must have 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service and must have been inoperation for a minimum of five years.
Both first-time and repeat applications are welcomed. Applicants who have submitted previously without receiving a computer from the program are encouraged to re-apply. Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, for example, applied twice before being awarded computers on the third try. The Heidi Search Center secured computers on its second attempt.
“Sometimes we have far more applications from excellent organizations than we have computers to give,” Sprouse said. “That makes for some very tough decisions, so we strongly encourage anyone who has applied in the past to do so again if they haven’t been awarded a computer from us before.”
The Austin Humane Society, JOVEN, Inc., San Antonio Opera, Christian Senior Services, Green Spaces Alliance, IDEA Public Schools, Greenlights for Nonprofit Success, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, Austin Sunshine Camps and Manos de Cristo are just a few of the many organizations that have received computers from Padgett Stratemann in the past.
A full explanation of the program, including the application form, is now available online at padgett-cpa.com. Submit applications via email by May 2 or by U.S. mail postmarked no later than May 2, 2014. Padgett Stratemann plans to notify organizations selected to receive computers during the week of June 2, 2014.
