Under the new requirements, either of the following documents must now be submitted over and above the old documentation requirements: * A copy of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) approval (issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi). * A copy of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) approval for the sponsoring Indian entity (this may be accepted at the discretion of the FRRO, instead of the FIPB approval).
