Meet the Moving Pictures Symposium at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood

Soon-to-be non-profit will make official debut at movie festival in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- The Moving Pictures Symposium, a soon-to-be non-profit, will attend the TCM Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles on April 10-13, 2014 to show their appreciation for all things cinema.

This Film Festival is the perfect event to officially debut the organization and network with other movie lovers. “It is the goal of The Moving Pictures Symposium to hold events throughout the country that showcase prints of beloved and obscure films. Due to the recent conversion to digital, much of today’s youth has never experienced an authentic reel-to-reel film. Through our presentations, the films themselves will become learning events as we plan to bring in people involved with the film as well as historians to explain the significance of the movie,” said co-founder, Jordan Brandes.

In order to bring their dream to life, The Moving Pictures Symposium is seeking funding from a variety of organizations in order to secure venues, obtain copyright licenses and rent out movie prints. Through various contributions and partnerships, the organization will be able to reach its goal of film education to the masses.
