Shakespeare that is a hit with critics and audiences

Sport For Jove's current repertory season has garnered incredible reviews from critics making it the current must see theatre show in Sydney.

SYDNEY - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- In 2014, Shakespeare fans from around the world will be celebrating the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth.  To mark this special occasion, Sport For Jove Theatre Company’s 2014 “Come To The Party!” season is presenting its largest indoor repertory season yet including a remount of their 2012/2013 outdoor festival season hit Twelfth Night, Or What You Will and a new production of All’s Well That Ends Well, a rarely performed though astonishingly bold Shakespeare play brought to life with Sport For Jove’s trademark clarity and inventiveness.

Sport For Jove is a relatively new theatre company, but has quickly developed a reputation and stature for delivering impactful accessible modern staging of Shakespeare's plays.... "If there’s any company other than Sport For Jove making Shakespeare live and breathe all over again, in new ways, I don’t know of it." - Lloyd Bradford Syke, Daily Review

All's Well That Ends Well has long been thought a problem play, and hadn't been performed in Sydney for over 20 years, making it a play that few even know exists.  Set in France and the wars in Italy, it’s a fairy tale mix of tragedy and comedy, and one of his most explicit plays about sexual politics.  "...thrilling, often tender production which plucks perfectly the play’s themes of love, sex and war play." - Martin Portus, Stage Whispers

Playing in repertory with Twelfth Night, this ensemble cast has received much acclaim for its work bringing to life these classic Shakespearen dark tragic comedies. "In true Shakespearean fashion, and true to Sport for Jove’s ethos, this is a true ensemble show – no one actor outshines another." - The Spell Of Waking Hours Blog

This thought provoking and powerful repertory season will be performed at the Seymour Centre in Sydney until April 12th.  The remaining performance schedule is...

Thur April 3    7.30pm   All’s Well That Ends Well
