Funds from Community Bowling Event to Help Cancer Patients in Need

WOONSOCKET, R.I. - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- WHAT:  Raise money for a good cause in your bowling shoes—join 21^st Century Oncology and the 21^st Century C.A.R.E. foundation for their ‘1^st Annual STRIKE OUT Cancer’ Community Bowling Event.

Door prizes are up for grabs, as well as a raffle that includes a 40" flat screen TV and a Kindle Fire HD. Registration is $15 and the first 30 participants will receive an event t-shirt. Proceeds will remain in our community and will be used for cancer screenings and financial assistance to cancer patients in need.

WHEN: Saturday, April 5, 2014
         1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Walnut Hill Bowl

         Woonsocket, RI 02895

WHY: The event aims to raise funds for cancer screenings, treatment and follow-up care, financial assistance for cancer patients in need and educational programs for our community. All of the proceeds will remain in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

WHO: The 21^st Century C.A.R.E. foundation is a Ft. Myers-based nonprofit organization with national reach – providing support and assistance to local community cancer patients in need. All of the funds from local events remain in the community to fund initiatives like cancer screenings, treatment and follow-up care, financial assistance for cancer patients in need, and educational programs. 21^st Century C.A.R.E. foundation is the charitable arm of the largest radiation therapy provider network, 21^st Century Oncology.
