Bethel's Place CDC to host Career Readiness & Job Fair | April 7-8

April 5, 2014 - PRLog -- If you are looking for a job or would like to assess your career readiness, Bethel's Place is the place to be as it hosts its 2014 Career Readiness and Job Fair

The two-day event will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., April 7-8 at Bethel's Place Empowerment Center at 12660 Sandpiper, Houston, Texas 77035.

The event kicks off on Monday, April 7 with a Career Readiness Fair featuring mock interviews, resume assistance and a variety of workshops, including "Career Closet: Dress for Success" at 10 a.m., "Get the Job" at 11 a.m. and "Resume Updates: Job-Winning Resumes" at 1 p.m. The first 25 class participants will receive free business attire.

On Tuesday, April 8, local companies and hiring authorities will be on site to conduct one-on-one interviews and extend job offers on the spot.  Attendees are encouraged to come dressed to impress with resumes in hand to scope out potential job opportunities.

Bethel's Place Community Development Corporation (BP CDC) officials invite the public to attend this event as the organization seeks to address the diverse career and employment needs of the community.

"Our goal is help job-seekers to obtain the career skills they need to get the jobs that will allow them to provide for their families and impact the economy,"  said Bethel's Place Director of Vocation and Technology College, Marva Hill.
