The Electric Run June 20th in Berea!

CLEVELAND - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- The Brach Group is so excited to be participating in this year’s Electric Run! On June 20^th at the Cuyahoga County Fair Ground (conveniently located 1 mile from our office) our team will get all decked out in our glow gear and run/walk a 5k course. This fun event is a partner with ‘Susan G. Komen for the Cure. They are dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Up to 75 percent of the Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the national Komen Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.’

Why run?

-This great Charity is not only a great way to build relationships but also get into shape! The health of our employees and their families are of utmost importance to The Brach Group. With the staggering figure that %35.5 of Americans are overweight, The Brach Group is doing their part in promoting a happy healthy life.

-Another great reason to run is that proceeds go to help fund Breast Cancer research. According to cancer.org; “The chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer during her life is about 1 in 8. The chance of dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 36. Breast cancer death rates have been going down. This is probably the result of finding the cancer earlier and better treatment. Right now there are more than 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.”

-Besides all of the great reasons to participate in this year’s Electric run, it’s going to be a blast! With music playing in a concert environment, everyone dressed up in blinking slights, glow in the dark paint, glow sticks, and light up everything, everyone is going to have a blast!
