This means if you care anything about your chances of signing an athletic scholarship or receiving a few tips about the recruiting process, read on.

During the recruiting process it’s very important to stay in competitive shape so that you can exhibit your skills to the college coaches when the time comes. You can do this by finding a competitive club or travel team, because college coaches would like to see what you are doing during your summer break to sharpen your skills. Joining a travel team would allow you to compete in elite showcase tournaments in which many college scouts will be in attendance, and would be a good start to drawing interest in you.

Also, signing up for a couple of combines or skill camps would offer you a way to condition and develop your specific skills. Attending camps and combines can be another great way to spend some time around college coaches and the campus that you are interested in as well.

Before attending the camp of choice, get in contact with the head coach because it gives you a better chance of being recognized while at camp. Last but not least college coaches will host elite camps or combines as a way to evaluate prospects in the junior and senior class, so be prepared to do your best.
