County Commission Employees to no longer miss hours for doctor’s appointments when ill!
By: iSelectMD

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- iSelectMD and the Harrison County Commission have teamed up to  provide convenient and affordable access to quality medical care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to all county employees. iSelectMD provides on demand access, via telephone, to Board Certified Licensed Physicians and Dentists. Under the plan, if an employee is feeling under the weather, he/she can simply call iSelectMD to receive a phone consult with a local physician, generally within 30 minutes or less, have a prescription called to a local pharmacy of their choice, if applicable, and be on their way to health in less time than they can drive to an urgent care or emergency room!

County Commissioner, Mike Romano, proudly supports iSelectMD as a benefit for county employees. "The County Commission is pleased to offer staff the new, innovative option of being a member of iSelectMD.  By speaking directly to a local physician by telephone 24-hours a day, our staff will receive immediate medical care at a reduced cost to both the patient and to the County.  That is a win-win for our employees and our taxpayers.  If this trial period proves successful, the savings to our employees and taxpayers could be thousands of dollars every year. Of course, the best result is providing better healthcare to our employees by allowing them to get immediate attention to their medical needs."

Additionally, Dr. Robert Martino, CEO of iSelectMD WV, and who proudly offers iSelectMD to his 100 plus local employees, states “The benefits of iSelectMD are provided for both the employer and the employees. Employers can expect a reduction in absenteeism and ultimately a reduction in the cost of premiums to them. Additionally, it offers a simple, inexpensive, convenient avenue for health care. Our iSelectMD physicians regularly treat illnesses that would historically take a patient to an urgent care of an Emergency room, such as allergies, bronchitis, sinus infections, ear infections, toothaches, sore throats, urinary tract infections, cold and flu and more.”

As many as 70% of doctor visits can be handled over the phone, iSelectMD provides the means to make it happen. Currently absenteeism is costing American businesses OVER $120 Billion dollars annually. iSelectMD has the solution. Nationally, the average cost for an emergency room visit is $750, and the average cost for an urgent care visit if $150. The Harrison County Commission has negotiated the cost for service at $10 per consult!
