NAIROBI, Kenya - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Born in Kiambu, Judy Ogake aka Sugar is a new Female Emcee set to take the Kenyan Music Industry by Storm.

After her Collabo with Hip hop artist Bamboo on the Hit Single " 25 flow", Sugar was pushed to the limelight locally and internationally with the Music Video getting high rotation on local tv stations, Channel O, and Zuku's Box Tv.

Since then, Sugar recorded with top South African Emcee Tumi Molekane on a Single titled " Let my people go" set to be on her upcoming Mixtape "Sweet".

The mixtape, set for release at the begining of May is anticipated to be as hot as her style having a range of collaborative works with artists such as Lon Jon, Alekei, Sharama and even the legendary Mwalimu Thomas Wesonga on a remake of the Classic "Tushangilie Kenya", courtesy of Ketebul Music.

Sugar's "Nicki Minaj Swag" comes across in her look and flow, blending Gangster with Sexy, making her truly one of Kenya's top female Rappers.

"Nataka kushow madame that if you put the work into achieving your dreams, theres nothing that can stop you. Ata mahater huhitaji something to beleive in au sio?...lol. I started from very humble beginnings, and went through struggles that i think shaped me. There was a time after an accident i had at school, that i thought i may never walk again, all i wanted was to be on stage and this crushed my spirits. I trusted in God and kept pushing forward and this is what i want to be an example of in the industry. "

Sugar launched her Single "Do it Like" at Kenya Music Week held at Sarit Centre in December. The single, a tribute to the great female emcees that inspired Sugar, reached the top ten downloads chart on www.mdundo.com for three weeks.

Through the Red Cross, Sugar was able to go down to Tana Delta to assist women affected by the clashes. In Kibera, Sugar also lends support to Pamela Owino, a Single Mother with very little resources who raises abandoned children in Kibera.

Sugar Releases her Music Video for her single “ DO IT LIKE ” on Friday 4th April 2014. For more details visit our Social Network ports.

I believe Hip Hop has been male dominated for far too long in Kenya and 2014 is the year to start looking out for fresh talent.
