Baggage limits vary enormously between airlines. Ryanair has a hand baggage limit of 10kg and a standard check-in bag can weigh up to 15kg. British Airways meanwhile allow weights of up to 23kg for both cabin bags and checked-in luggage. Excess baggage charges soon add up; easy JZet charges £11 per kg at the airport, whilst Flybe charges £10 per kg.

This app is an essential tool in any cost-savvy traveller's mobile device. No more balancing suitcases on the bathroom scales, or waiting nervously to find out if you need to start re-distributing the weight in your bags, at the check-in desk for all to see.

The app interface is easy to use. The user simply enters the airline name, places the phone or mobile device on the floor or a hard flat surface. Next place the bag on the phone or mobile device. After a few moments the easy-to-use interface will register the weights and advise whether the bag is over the specified weight limit or not.
