Barbershop Presents Community Driven Hair Show

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- The We Are Hair Affair is a hair showcase that was created by Shaun Corbett of Da Lucky Spot Barbershop to spotlight the local beauty industry that was created, “for us, by us.” Most hair shows in Charlotte are executed by individuals that are from cities outside of Charlotte; we wanted something homegrown,” states Corbett.

Outside of showcasing the beauty industry, the event will be used as a platform to donate scholarships to deserving cosmetology students. The students will be responsible for submitting an application and essay with the winner being announced during the show. The event will also welcome its charitable partner, The Blessing House Inc, a local 501c3 non-profit organization as being a large component of the show. There are many small business owners and businesses that have donated their time and resources to the show in an effort to give back to the community.
