This year’s event, presented by Scott Fontana in association with Cristophe Salon Newport Beach, was hosted by Jeremy Jackson, Hollywood actor and former Baywatch star, and included an opening hair cutting show by Scott Fontana. Small bites and appetizers were served courtesy of Rubio’s, in addition to a full bar. Stylists were given 30 minutes to create a cut and style on stage, followed by a hair and fashion show comprised of four models each. Judges evaluated technique, creative, technicality, and overall performance. As the winner of the Making the Cut, Krystle Blair was awarded with $2,500 cash and other sponsor prizes.
