One such trainee is Selina Douglas from Dewsbury. She spotted a gap in the market for female gas engineers and enrolled on the Multi-Skill Domestic ACS Gas Engineer Course.
“I was absolutely sick of making ends meet through dead-end jobs. I’ve always been really hands-on and eager to push myself and my capabilities. Brookhouse Training offered a future proof career; it was just what I was looking for.” Says Selina.
Selina is now a fully qualified Gas Safe Registered domestic gas engineer and self-employed, running her own domestic gas installation and maintenance business called The Gaslass; which operates throughout the Kirklees area.
