Chris Neumeyer Wins Client Choice Award for Best IT Lawyer in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan - April 1, 2014 - PRLog -- TAIPEI, Taiwan (April 1, 2014) – Chris Neumeyer has been named the Best Information Technology attorney in Taiwan in the 2014 International Law Office (ILO) Client Choice Awards.  The annual award recognizes attorneys worldwide who stand apart for excellent client care and quality of service.

Mr. Neumeyer is licensed to practice law in the State of California and US federal courts and in Taiwan as an Attorney of Foreign Legal Affairs.  He practiced litigation in the US for nine years, before relocating to Taiwan in 2000.  In Taiwan, he has been employed with Texas Instruments and as Director of Legal at Lite-On Technology Corporation, but presently serves as Managing Partner at Asia Law, a Taipei business law firm with an emphasis on technology and intellectual property.

Mr. Neumeyer regularly negotiates agreements for the manufacture, sale, distribution, and licensing of technology; assists with IP protection and compliance; and helps resolve disputes concerning quality, patent infringement, price-fixing, accounts receivable and more, including managing litigation and discovery for reduced costs and better results.

“It’s an honor to receive the award,” said Mr. Neumeyer.  “Having worked inside global tech companies for years, I recognize that management often grows frustrated with high-priced lawyers and standard procedures and prefers more cost-effective solutions.  I’m constantly striving to deliver that through familiarity with the client’s business, innovative strategies and reasonable fee structures.  It’s great to know clients are satisfied.”

The award was given by ILO, a London organization established in 1998.  Unlike other award programs, nominations for the annual Client Choice Awards are accepted only from in-house, corporate counsel.  Winners are selected based on the following criteria: quality of legal service, value for the money, commercial awareness, effective communications, billing transparency, fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology.
