SYDNEY - April 1, 2014 - PRLog -- Asteron Life is giving more than 10,000 financial advisers the ability to boost their marketing skills, at the same time as earning up to six CPD points.

In an industry-first six-part reality TV series called ‘Boost’, Asteron Life provides advisers smart marketing strategies from small business marketing guru Tim Reid. Running from 2 April to 22 May, Boost can be watched online at the Boost website.

Boost’s six episodes will demonstrate practical DIY tools on how to:

1. Build a brand

2. Improve a Website

3. Connect with clients through content marketing

4. Develop cost-effective video marketing

5. Use blogging to drive client conversations, and

6. Make the most out of sponsorships.

"Boost fills a niche in the advice market that is not focused on product, but helps advisers build and grow a prosperous business," said Asteron Life, Executive Manager, Mark Vilo.

"We developed Boost in the entrepreneurial spirit of our 'Better Business'

coaching seminars, which we run for our top advisers who are serious about growing their business. Better Business recently starred Tim Reid who gave powerful demonstrations on dynamic marketing strategies that don’t break the budget. This created a new opportunity for us to take those lessons to the small business market.

"Through Boost we’ve taken a mass media approach and produced a reality TV concept to show the pain-points business owners experience in growing their business, and how they can conquer those. Running Boost in an online TV format also brings some fun learnings to a serious business proposition."

By watching all six episodes and answering three simple questions in the Boost e-book, advisers can earn up to six CPD points in total.

The show’s contestants are Stuart Carter and Anthony Brown, directors of Brisbane-based Medico Legal Insurance Group (part of the millenium3 group), who as new practice owners need to overhaul their marketing.

"Marketing a small business doesn’t have to be a Hollywood production. It’s about taking a professional approach through smarter marketing, and helping advisers compete at the big end of town."
