A Girl Travels Gives Back in Twos

 
NEW YORK - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Travel Blogger Erica Jewell and Bridget O’Brien PR and Events are celebrating two amazing charities and saying farewell to the founder of A Girl Travels before she embarks on her new adventure in San Francisco at Stitch Bar & Lounge on Tuesday, May 6th, in New York City.

Erica Jewell, author of the blog A Girl Travels and a service member in the U.S. Coast Guard currently lives in New York City and writes about her travel adventures and her involvement in her communities that she resides in and visits. Her goal is to inspire others to live like her, seeing the world one city, one island, and one country at a time. Being that this is her last year in New York, she is celebrating the success of her travel blog in the city which birthed it. Erica’s event was put together as a way for her to give back to both her local and travel communities before the big move. Bridget O’Brien PR and Events is helping to promote this event.

This event begins at 7:00 PM and ends at 10:00 pm, food will be served and celebreties will also be in attendance.

About The Passport Party Project:

The Passport Party Project is a grassroots initiative founded by Tracey Friley to provide online global awareness training and first passports to underserved American girls between the ages of 11-15 in an effort to help create responsive and responsible global citizens. Phase 1 of The Passport Party Project(tm) wrapped up last summer and was able to successfully gift 100 underserved girls with their very first passports during a nationwide traveling campaign that began September 2011 and wrapped up on July 30, 2013 and six young travelers made their debut international journey to Belize and received their very first passport stamps.

Beating Cancer in Heels is a nonprofit dedicated to the empowerment of young women with cancer founded by Brooklyn native Marlena Ortiz is a young woman who is making her voice heard as a champion of women who face breast cancer and all its ramifications. The foundation is dedicated to the empowerment of women by providing programming that helps the individual function in their own world with a positive attitude, and a face of hope and strength.
