Rowdy Princess Music Group Uses Popular Video App To Promote Their New EP

The Rowdy Princess Music Group has discovered an innovative marketing platform to promote their debut project

NEW YORK - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- For an independent music label, coming up with a promotion campaign for a new project can be exhausting and expensive. Rowdy Princess Music Group decided to take advantage of popular social media outlets such as the mobile app Vine, to help build their fan base and promote their debut EP.  Nia, the group’s songwriter explains how they came across their fan building idea.

“We thought of the idea after watching television commercials.  Companies have 30 seconds to sell a product, but it’s the first few seconds of an ad that most people really notice.  Whether it’s catchy music or visual, those first few seconds are critical. They either capture your attention or risk viewers changing the channel."

That’s when Nia and her sister realized that they were onto something. “Since Vine gives you six seconds to film,  we decided to create straight to the point messages in our videos, allowing viewers to experience a glimpse of our music and us.”

The Rowdy Princess Music team came up with a group of videos introducing themselves while encouraging new fans to check them out. “When we first launched our label in 2013, no one knew who we were. We didn't start getting followers until after we began posting our music on SoundCloud. We were then able to usher most of those followers to our Twitter page so that we could interact with them. Rather than just tell supporters to go buy our music, we invite our new followers to come check us out on Vine, and see us in action. We love what we do and we want to share it.”

“No Rules” will be available on Itunes and Amazon April 2nd

*Vine is a mobile app created by Vine Labs Inc.
