Avail Technologies, Inc. Opens New Doors to Enhance Your Rider's Experience

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - April 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Avail Technologies Inc., an industry leading CAD/AVL ITS integrator for public transit, is relocating its operations to 1960 Old Gatesburg Road, State College, Pennsylvania 16803. The new 42,918 square foot state-of-the-art building will house Engineering, Production, Support, Operations, and Business Development all under one roof.

Specifically designed to accommodate concurrent customer visits for system demonstrations, and technically engineered to support real-time training and troubleshooting, Avail’s new headquarters provides the perfect platform for continued innovation focused on enhancing riders’ experiences at transit agencies across the nation.

Dorsey Houtz, co-founder and CEO of Avail says, “Now in our sixteenth year of operation, and having had steady controlled growth every year, Avail Technologies has outgrown our current facility. More than two years ago the employee owners of Avail set out on a mission to design and build a new headquarters that would not only facilitate long term growth, but would do so while fostering a creative, healthy and energetic work environment. The expanded production lab is designed to foster innovation and collaboration while streamlining processes, and a centrally located engineering and support area was created to help solve problems faster and more efficiently. From the bottom up the new Avail facility was designed by the employees based on the most effective workflow possible that will aid the company in furthering its mission to partner with its customers to revolutionize the adoption of ITS technology in public transit.

Avail plans to host an employee open house event in April to introduce the new facility to family and friends of the Avail staff.
