City Leaders on Record: Blacks are Endangered Species – Youth Rally Planned

Rochester Pastors are raising their voices against abortion in an effort to alert the Black and Hispanic communities to the reality that they have become an endangered species. An educational Youth Rally is planned for April 16.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- The Am I Not A Child campaign is excited to announce a series of video interviews with Rochester pastors and influencers from the Black and Hispanic communities. In our first interview Bishop David Singleton of Ark of Jesus Ministries and Celebration of Life Community, Inc. shares his passion for protecting preborn boys and girls: http://youtu.be/O67U1us81_w.

Bishop Singleton comments, “This campaign says, ‘Am I not a child?’ And it reflects to a history that is very real in this nation. At one point, a person of my skin tone would not have been considered a real person… We’ve come quite a ways, while at the same time we have quite a ways to go. The abortion rate, as it presently stands right now for the African American community—if it was animals, one would say they’re an endangered species.”

Am I Not A Child will be regularly releasing video interviews leading up to the Am I Not a Child Youth Rally on April 16, 11am-3pm. The Conference will be hosted by Cuevas Walker at the Joy Community Church Youth Ministry Center on the corner of Bay and Goodman. The youth rally is free and open to the public, and designed for ages 12-18.

Churches are welcome to invite their youth groups for straight talk on Personhood, Sex, Relationships and Abortion. According to Walker, “Our kids are hearing all sorts of things about sex, relationships, abortion and more by television, activist groups and the schools. Now it is time to have a healthy conversation around these things. Let’s not leave our kids to the wolves but help them to cultivate healthy life styles built on the solid foundation of Christ.”

The Am I Not a Child Youth Rally will include group sessions and age-appropriate breakout sessions. Students will also be divided male and female for gender-specific topics. Youth can register for the event on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/227676290771081. For information contact Cuevas Walker: (585) 360-3526 | cuevas.walker@gmail.com.

Am I Not a Child is a media campaign of the Rochester Black/Hispanic Personhood Initiative, a collaboration of local community leaders which exists to educate the community toward an understanding of the personhood of all, especially the preborn girl and boy, laying a foundation for a personhood amendment to the constitution of New York State.
