Carrick care –new organization launches fundraising campaign on indiegogo to help change the lives of those suffering with consussions and traumatic brain injuries.
 
NORTH BAY, Ontario - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- (Corbeil, Ontario) The Carrick Care Board of Directors is delighted to announce an international non-profit organization committed to changing lives. By increasing awareness of brain injuries and neurological challenges and providing opportunities for treatments and therapies, Carrick Care will make a difference in the lives of many. Through generous efforts from donors, volunteers and ongoing fundraising campaigns, the organization will help individuals who suffer from neurological disorders.

Carrick Care is pleased to have Tie Domi, retired Canadian professional ice hockey player as an honorary member of the organization. Through his philanthropic efforts, he is committed to assisting the organization increase awareness about neurological challenges globally.

The impact of neurological disorders.

Individuals that qualify for Carrick Care financial support can receive free assessments and treatments to achieve the best outcome possible. Treatments include support for a variety of neurological disorders including but not limited to:

-          Traumatic Brain Injury (including concussion);

-          Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD);

-          Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); and

-          Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Neurological disorders can impact the physical, emotional and mental challenges individuals and families face. Carrick Care is committed to raising funds to provide life-changing treatments and therapies to those who cannot afford it. From young children to athletes, war veterans and adults, neurological disorders have a significant impact on many lives worldwide.

-          An estimated 10 million people are affected annually by Traumatic Brain          Injuries.

-          As of 2007, over 5.4 million children between the ages of 7 -14 years of          age were diagnosed with ADHD.

-        Approximately 67 million people are affected by Autism Spectrum          Disorder.

-         Over 17 million people are living with Cerebral Palsy.

-         An estimated 10 million people are affected annually by Traumatic Brain          Injuries.
