BEC Technologies: DRN Selects BEC Technologies, Inc. as New Provider of 4G LTE CPE Equipment

PLANO, Texas - March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- March 23^rd, 2014  – BEC Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce that DRN, which offers state-of-the-art telecommunications, Internet, and television services to rural southeastern North Dakota, has chosen us as a provider of 4G LTE CPE Equipment.

Years ago, DRN purchased in the 700Mhz spectrum before investing in fiber for the purpose of helping underserved areas. 4G LTE services offer many customers the best available Internet service where fiber deployments are not cost effective.

By using either the BEC’s 6800RUL Outdoor LTE broadband router or the 6200WZL indoor units, they are now able to serve areas up to a 20-mile radius from their 4G LTE tower or other leased towers. “Many of our customers are not used to such a wonderful internet service,” said Kent Schimke, DRN Plant Manager. He also stated that they preferred BEC’s CPE equipment because the outdoor units are “smaller, lighter, more compact, and everything is very easy to install.

A fast, reliable connection in a rural farming community is extremely important.  Many of those living in these areas need an excellent connection for Internet access, remote camera surveillance, farming equipment monitoring, and other security applications of large properties.
