As pioneers in the world of drinking fountains, hydration stations® and emergency equipment, Haws consistently offers the newest, most innovative features and functionality to a global customer base. Haws’ international representatives consistently reached out to the marketing department to obtain digital assets, such as product images, logos, multimedia files, and literature, in many different formats. This began to consume the time of marketing staff and exchanged resources for creating new and innovative marketing materials with resources for just finding and delivering files to their international locations. The time difference between location also made communication very challenging. It became clear that an easy-to-use, on-demand web-based solution was critical – one that could efficiently store, manage and distribute those digital materials.
“The biggest issue we needed to tackle was being able to provide our global offices with the information and resources they need without taking up our creative time,” stated Samantha Hoch, Haws’ Marketing Coordinator. “Looking into some type of digital asset management tool was pretty much the answer.”
After initially trying an ftp-based solution, it became clear that in order to completely solve their issues of file management and global delivery, a DAM system was needed. Ease-of-use for both end users and admins, consultation, support, fast implementation, and on-demand web-based global access were their primary concerns during their investigation.
“I looked at all of the offerings available, and Widen really stood out. With all of the available resources that Widen provides to help you understand what you will be getting, and how much help there will be to get your site up, it just seemed like the right choice,” stated Lynne Pierce, Haws’ Graphic Designer. “No other company that I researched provided even a tenth of what Widen does to help one understand the scope of what is offered.”
The DAM system will be used to allow Haws’ global offices, channel partners, and marketing teams on-demand and permissioned access to their marketing materials. Security settings within DAM will also help to keep assets and access for their consumer-based Brita® product line separate from their safety and plumbing based products.
“We’re very excited to add Haws to the list of great and global brands the Widen Media Collective will help to protect and promote, stated Chris Rewey, Widen Sales Manager. “Their need to manage and give on-demand access to globally dispersed partners illustrates the power of what a DAM system can do to free up marketing resources from file management duties.”
