Earth Hour created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), is the largest movement for the planet in human history, spanning over 7,000 cities, in 152 countries, with a digital reach of 200 million people across the globe.
With that in mind, City Mall activated a range of energy-saving measures during Earth Hour. The City’s favorite, switched off the two side signs of its exterior facade; dimmed all its interior lighting for an entire hour starting at 8:30 pm on Saturday the 29th of March. Additionally, most of the mall’s tenants joined in the initiative and dimmed their in-store lighting during the same period.
“It’s a privilege for us to support such a powerful movement with such a simple gesture,” said Mrs. Maram Enaya, the Commercial Manager at City Mall. She also added“Earth Hour is a global philosophy we all need to adopt; as the small steps each one of us takes, can collectively make a difference.”
