The Advancing Investments & Trade in Africa To Host US-Africa Trade Policy Forum, Washington, D.C

 
March 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Washington, DC – On May 1, 2014, the Advancing Investments & Trade in Africa (“AITA”) will host a forum to discuss US-Africa Trade Policy.

The forum will be held at the Washington Marriott at Metro Center, 775 12th St NW, Washington, D.C. 20005 at 6:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time.

Confirmed panelists include Ms. Nicole Johnson, Senior Trade and Investment Officer, United States Department of State; Ms. Ngozi Nmezi, Director of Office on African Affairs, District of Columbia Mayor’s Office; Ms. Nicole Lee, President, TransAfrica; and Ms. Danielle Walker, Director, U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  Dr. Carl LeVan, AITA Advisory Board Member and American University Professor will moderate the discussion.

Panelists will discuss the African Growth and Opportunity Act (“AGOA”), Power Africa, District of Columbia Africa business initiatives, current private sector Africa business initiatives, and more.

The goal of the program is to educate the Washington, D.C. business community regarding current US-Africa Trade Policy as well as connect professionals who are currently doing business in Africa.
