"The Love Awards-Girls On Fire." Honoring local young women for community efforts

DAVENPORT, Iowa - April 2, 2014 - PRLog -- "The Love Awards-Girls On Fire" will take place on 8 April 2014 from 6:30PM-8:30PM, at the River Center (Mississippi Hall), Davenport, IA. Love Girls Magazine and Epiphany Events, Event Management and Planning, LLC have collaborated to host "The Love Awards-Girls On Fire."  To further the mission of Love Girls Magazine, The Love Awards will honor girls from all over the Quad Cities for their contribution in community efforts.  The Love Awards is held annually and this year's event proves to be a spectacular event.  Love Girls Magazine, together with local sponsors such as the City of Davenport, Royal Neighbors, Junior League and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, have joined forces in sponsoring various aspects of this event, to provide a unique experience for local young women to be recognized for their accomplishments. Love Girls Magazine is pleased to announce Monique Coleman of “High School Musical “ fame as keynote speaker and YouTube Sensation Jessie Michaels.

Love Girls Magazine was founded by Jasmine Babers in January 2012, at the age of 16. This magazine focuses on the encouragement and positive self-esteem of local girls in the Quad Cities area.  Babers, along with other young women (ages13-19), and mentoring adults, have created a unique non-profit organization and a local magazine, that honors young girls by sharing their inspirational stories along with fun articles on fashion, beauty, confidence, entertainment, fitness and health.  The magazine is published quarterly and always features a local young woman on the cover. Love Girls Magazine has expanded their reach to other locations within the United States. As of late 2013, Love Girls Magazine has efforts in Memphis, TN., and our nation’s capital, Washington D.C. In 2014, Love Girls Magazine will be in Atlanta, GA.
