According to Lee J. Metcalf, Missouri ESGR State Chairman, “The Patriot Award was created to publicly recognize supportive employers and community service organizations who provide outstanding support and go above and beyond the normal rules of the Uniformed Service Employment reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) to their employees, who like the Minute Men before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve. Supportive organizations are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.
According to the service member, Sergeant Clinton Bradley, who is with the Army National Guard out of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, Jill and Jerry Hickey have been Instrumental in the North Kansas City area by providing career opportunities to Guard and Reserve members. Their full serve support staffing agency takes pride in making sure the area Employers they serve support the men and women who serve our country. They lead the industry in providing advocacy and support to the Guard and Reserve. They will also sign a Statement of Support and post the document where everyone can see it.
As the 1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America’s borders and beyond, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors. ESGR advocates relevant initiatives, recognizes outstanding support, increases awareness of applicable laws, and resolves conflict between employers and service members.
