Light Efficient Design's Compact LED-8039 Delivers LED Retrofitting Solution for Small Spaces

CARY, Ill. - March 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Light Efficient Design introduces the LED-8039, a compact LED retrofit lamp that replaces 70W HID lamps. Measuring less than 6 inches tall and less than 3 inches wide, the LED-8039 is suitable for applications such as walkways and steps, and can squeeze into spots that other lamps can’t.

The LED-8039 is a 120-277 volt, medium base mounting that integrates LED technology into a powerful yet energy-saving LED stubby outdoor post top lamp. UL-damp-rated, the versatile LED-8039 can be used in indoor or outdoor applications in a bollard or explosion-proof jelly jar light. Top mounted LEDs provide uniform light distribution.

Retrofitting with the LED-8039 is a simple, three-step process: 1) the ballast is disconnected from the current lamp; 2) power is fed straight to the socket; 3) the new LED lamp is installed. Costs stemming from total fixture replacement are eliminated and the lamps can be easily upgraded.

As with all Light Efficient Design LED retrofit lamps, the LED-8039 uses active cooling instead of heat sinks to dissipate heat and insure an exceptionally long life for the lamp.
