Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has announced that he won't run for re-election and that he plans to host a nationally syndicated radio talk show.

“As I close this chapter in my life, I am excited to begin a new one that allows me to continue serving as a voice for American exceptionalism and support a strong nation security policy agenda,” Rogers said.

Rogers has represented Michigan’s eighth congressional district since 2001 and was a special agent in the FBI earlier in his career.
