- Mar. 28, 2014 - CAMP HILL, Pa. --
Meredith Woods-Brown brings more than 15 years of experience in senior living and long-term care to her position as new Executive Director of The Woods at Cedar Run.
Brown has settled into her role at the IntegraCare-
owned senior living community in Camp Hill, noting that the region has many similarities to her hometown of Chardon, Ohio, which is about 45 minutes from Cleveland.
“The Camp Hill area is very beautiful,” said Woods-Brown, who previously held an administrative position with an assisted living and memory care community in Shaker Heights, Ohio. “When I saw the name, The Woods at Cedar Run, instantly, I thought, ‘Is this like a sign that I’m supposed to be at this building?’
“The Woods at Cedar Run is a very charming place. It really reminded me of my hometown -- very rural, very country and it had that small-town charm. The building is very nice and very warm. The residents are happy. The activities calendar is awesome.”
Brown’s Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) background in Ohio and Pennsylvania made for a smooth transition to The Woods at Cedar Run. Earlier in her career, she gained experience as a financial planner specializing in long-term care insurance and Medicare and Medicaid, skills that also will be beneficial in her new position.
“Meredith is a great addition to the IntegraCare team,” said Eric Walker, IntegraCare’
s Executive Director of Sales and Marketing. “She has provided leadership and an open line of communication. She’s been a great fit with our team at The Woods at Cedar Run, and she’s has a great relationship with the residents and their families.”
Brown and her husband Mark have four children and four grandchildren.
