By: The Clever Bastard The DC Black Theater Festival strives to encourage artists to give expression to their talents and develop their artistic freedom without any curatorial barriers between their work and the audience. Darnell Lamont Walker has been a part of the theater world for over 15 years, training with multiple companies as an actor, including Shakespearean theater companies throughout the U.S., writing and directing in New York, California, and of course the District of Columbia, and even getting a degree in Theater Arts from Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. It's with much appreciation to those at the DC Black Theater Festival that Darnell returns to the East Coast to share his thoughts, dreams and words with those brave enough to still enjoy the theater. "Damn, Women" explores the thoughts, passions and motives of four men who've fallen repeatedly for women who give them goose bumps, cold chills, and stories to share. These men sit on milk crates finding comedy in their sentimental moods. The audience will smile, laugh, remember past loves and damn the ones they've settled for. Darnell Lamont Walker, a Charlottesville, Virginia native, currently lives in Los Angeles where he writers, creates art, produces radio, casts television and film, maintains TheCleverBastard.Com and soaks up the sun over plates of Pho Bief and Panang Curry.
