By: Perdido Key Visitor Information Center The featured artist for “Taste of Perdido” is Margaret Biggs, a painter of iconic beach scenes. Other artists will display jewelry, sculptures, paintings, photography, wooden bowls and more. The gathering begins with a VIP event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. April 4. Cost is $25 per ticket, $45 per couple. The dishes are far from ordinary -- prime rib sliders, lionfish sashimi and seafood chowder, among others. Admission is free April 5, when the hours are noon to 8 p.m. At the VIP event, restaurants will offer signature dishes paired with delicious wines. On the menu: Voyagers at Perdido Beach Resort, Gulf Coast seafood chowder, Italo Cescon Pinot Grigio; Flora-Bama Yacht Club, lionfish sashimi, Picpoul DePinet; Oar House, Seafood Martini, Monmousseau; Musician Pat McCann (http://www.reverbnation.com/ The free event, on April 5, will feature more food and live music by local performers. For $15 you will receive a souvenir glass and tickets to taste five wines. Taking the stage at noon April 5: Top Hate and Jackie, who play country, pop, folk, rock and blues.
