2014 Painting and Decorating Awards Announced

April 25, 2014 - PRLog -- The Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) recently announced its national award winners during the 2014 Painting & Decorating Expo, PDCA’s premier annual event. The awards program honors the most distinguished projects, companies, members and individuals in the coating applications industry as voted on by individuals and contracting company members of PDCA.

The PDCA presented awards in the following categories in 2014:

Al Quilici Outstanding Member Award
This is the highest attainable award presented by PDCA to a member or honorary member that has demonstrated a lifetime of contributions to the trade and the PDCA. This most prestigious award acknowledges demonstrated accomplishments for the overall betterment of the contracting environment, in particular, the embodiment of integrity, devotion and steadfast contributions toward advancing PDCA as shown by Mr. Al Quilici.

Dave Ryker; David A. Ryker Painting Co. Inc. - Indianapolis, IN

Richard A. Liddeke Distinguished Service Award
The Richard A. Liddeke Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional, meritorious association and/or industry service. This honor pays tribute for unselfish commitment, the highest qualities of personal character, ultimate professionalism, and significant contributions towards the achievement of PDCA objectives on a nationwide scale.

Ray Fujii; PDCA of Hawaii Council - Kailua, HI

Recruiter of the Year
The Recruiter of the Year Award is presented to a member who has, through exceptional efforts, made an outstanding contribution to membership growth in a forum, council or chapter.

Florida Council

Associate Member of the Year
Associate members are the suppliers and manufacturers who provide the products and services needed to conduct business. The Associate Member of the Year Award is presented to the company representative who has consistently supported PDCA in its efforts to improve the coatings application industry.

3M Company

Humanitarian of the Year
This award is presented for recognition of extraordinary humanitarian achievements by members. These achievements may or may not be involved with the painting or decorating industry.

Picture It Painted Professionally (PIPP) Awards
The PIPP Awards, the very first national awards to honor the  best of the painting industry is PDCA's way of paying tribute to the work of professional painting and decorating contractor.
